Muta and the Society of Feline Artists Online Exhibition

I am delighted that Muta will be included in the Society of Feline Artists online exhibition, running from 17 October to 15 November 2026.

The exhibition brings together artists who share a fascination with cats and their extraordinary variety of character, expression and presence. It offers an opportunity to discover different artistic interpretations of the feline world, from intimate portraits to more expressive explorations of form, colour and personality.

Muta is an original oil painting on canvas, measuring 180 × 120 cm, and is available to purchase for £5,400 through the online exhibition.

Part of my Close-Up Figures series, Muta explores the interplay of silver, shadow and light. Working on a large scale allows me to bring the viewer closer to the subtle shifts of colour, the structure of the face and the quiet intensity of the subject.

I hope visitors to the online exhibition will take a moment to look beyond the familiar image of a cat and discover the depth, texture and character within the painting.
